[Tutorial] Downgrade iPhone Baseband 04.12.01 to 01.59.00

The RedsnOw-mOd Team has modded redsnOw 0.9.14b2 which allows us  now  to downgrade from baseband 04.12.01 to  baseband 01.59.00.

This for all those who have updated their  iphone 4/4s to newest iOS 5.1.1 with baseband 4.12.01

this modded is the definitive method to downgrade from 04.12.01 to 01.59.00

The devices and Basebands that can be downgrade :  iPhone 4/4s

  • 04.12.01
  • 04.11.08
  • 4.10.01
  • 3.10.01
  • 2.10.04
Before downgrade
before continuing to read the tutorial you must download redsnOm modded below

Step 1 :

Download original iOS 5.1.1 firmware 
Download redsnOw modded here (if i haven’t download yet)
Step 2  :
Build a custom firmware using Pwnage Tool or Sn0wbreeze. Steps are very easy and you are guided by the software itself.
Step 3 :
Use iTunes to restore to the custom firmware built. Use Alt + “Restore” button on Mac OS X and Shift + “Restore” button on Windows to point to the custom firmware created in the previous step.
Step 4 :
Open redsn0w. Click on Extras.
Click on Select IPSW.
Select IPSW downloaded from the internet (NOT the custom built firmware)
Click OK
Click Back. Click Jailbreak.
Check Install Cydia and Downgrade to 01.59.00.
And Click Next
Follow the steps as directed.
After the process completes, you should find that your phone is on baseband 01.59.00.
